Nevada Fresh Pak
An Organic Approach.
Local Produce Supports Local People
Nevada Fresh Pak believes “Nevada’s Future is Fresh™”. In 2006 David created a new company, with partner Leo Bergin, called Nevada Fresh Pak--with a mission to grow USDA Certified organic leafy greens for a select clientele. In just a few years the original 500 acres of greens tripled in size and overall production expanded to include growing, packing and shipping over thirty varieties of organic leafy greens, vegetables and herbs.

Several years ago David secured a strategic partnership to grow for a national customer, which enabled expansion and will ensure future success of the organic leafy greens and vegetable program. Today Nevada Fresh Pak farms hundreds of acres and represents more than quarter of the company’s overall farming business.

Due to the success of their partnership, Peri & Sons and Nunes Company have joined forces to build a state-of-the-art cooling and distribution facility in Yerington, Nevada. The new Walker River Cooling facility will begin operation in May 2017 and will service retailers, wholesalers and other buying organizations throughout North America.

Together, Peri & Sons Farms and Nevada Fresh Pak, farm about 12,000 acres between Nevada and California. The company is now the largest employer in Lyon County--currently supporting over 220 full-time diverse positions including specialists in the areas of agricultural science, engineering, manufacturing, and business and information technology. The company also supports a seasonal work force of over 1,400 full-time employees. Based on recent economic impact studies the company’s direct and indirect impact on the economy in Northern Nevada now exceeds $130 million.
David and Pamela Peri
The leafy greens and vegetables we grow in Nevada’s sunny and arid climate are naturally less susceptible to the kinds of mildews and molds that can affect greens and vegetables grown in other moister environments. As a result, we experience fewer problems and can obtain better quality overall.
